With skies gradually becoming partly cloudy, expect a high around 82 today and light winds. Tonight will feature a low of 61, again with partly cloudy skies and light winds.
Down the line, we are still watching Jose, which is now a hurricane with 80 mph winds. Jose is expected to become a high end tropical storm by the time it nears our area. While the current path forecast indicates we are just a little too far from the storm to get tropical storm force winds, not only will Jose’s wind field expand as it transitions to more of a Nor’Easter-style storm, but also, we are within the cone of uncertainty for the storm path – and tropical storm impacts can occur outside that cone. So there is plenty of time for the storm to get closer or for the wind field to expand even further. Of course, the reverse effect could also happen, and Jose could move further away from us.
At the very least, under a path similar to the current one, some showers would be likely. Beyond that, local impacts are too unclear, so stay tuned for later updates.
Have a great day!
