With rain this afternoon, expect a high around 67, along with an east wind at 5-10 mph; gusts to 20 mph are possible. Rain continues tonight, along with a low near 62, and a southeast wind of 5-10 mph.
While not as steady tomorrow, showers and thunderstorms will be likely at times tomorrow, with a high near 79 and a south wind generally around 5 mph. Isolated severe thunderstorms could develop with stronger winds and heavy rain during the afternoon hours. Tomorrow night will feature a diminishing chance of showers, a low near 64, and a calm wind.
Going through the rest of the week, it won’t be particularly sunny, but temperatures will be fairly consistent, around 80 for Wednesday, 81 on Thursday, and 80 again for Friday, with lows of 65 on Thursday morning and 59 on Friday morning, with Wednesday and Thursday being partly sunny to mostly cloudy, and Friday being mostly sunny. Anyone who will be on the coastal waters late this week should be aware of rough surf being propagated by Hurricane Florence, which is currently expected to pose no other threats to our region, as a ridge of high pressure immediately to our north will keep the storm well to our south.
Have a great day!
